       报告人简介:

Professor Dr Stefano Lanzoni is full professor in Fluid mechanics, the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, University of Padua, Italy. He is also president of Italian Hydraulic Group (GII), and the director of the PhD School of Civil and Environmental Engineering Science, University of Padua. His research covers a range of topics, including Eco-Morphodynamics of tidal environments and climate change, GIS-based integrated platform for Debris Flow Monitoring, Modeling and Hazard Mitigation. He is also serving as a core committee member of the IAHR symposium on River Coastal and Estuarine Morphodynamics (RCEM), for which he acted as the local Chairman for RCEM2017. He has published about 100 research articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, such as Water Resources Research, Journal of Geophysical Research, Geophysical Research Letters and Journal of Fluid Mechanics.

Associate Professor Dr Andrea D’Alpaos is associate professor in Coastal (Bio-)geomorphology of University of Padua. His research focuses on the mutual interactions and adjustments between physical and biological processes in estuarine landscapes. His research on the biomorphodynamic evolution of these landscapes includes understanding, through field observations, laboratory experiments and modelling, how biogeomorphic feedbacks contribute to shape coastal landscapes and how they drive system response to changes in the environmental forcing and to human interferences. Most of his research analyses estuarine landscapes, in which knowledge of the governing biogeomorphic feedbacks is crucial for management strategies. He is author of 50 papers published in leading peer reviewed international journals and more than 50 papers published on the proceedings of national and international conferences.
