On September 14, 2020, Professor Dong Guohai and Professor Ma Yuxiang of State Key laboratory of coastal and offshore engineering of Dalian University of Technology were invited to our college for academic exchange. Dean Gong Zheng and Prof.Zhang Chi presided over the academic exchange activity which was attended by more than 120 teachers and students.

Professor Dong Guohai gave an academic report entitled Hydrodynamics of Deep-sea Cage Culture, and introduced in detail the systematic and innovative research work carried out by his team in the hydrodynamics of deep-sea cage culture around the background requirements, theoretical construction, key technologies, practical application and personnel training. Professor Ma Yuxiang gave an academic report entitled Study on the Action of Broken Waves on Vertical Cylinders, and introduced the wave force characteristics and calculation methods of cylinders under the influence of new mechanisms such as complex broken wave form, dynamic response of structures and wave surface changes around structures. After the report, the two professors had a heated discussion with the teachers and students attending the meeting, and achieved good communication results.
