On December 9, 2019, the 5th International BIM Grand Prix and Summit Forum, which was sponsored by the building SMART Hong Kong (bSHK), was held in Shenzhen. The competition received more than 600 entries from China, the United States, Germany and other countries. Guided by Dr. Wang Huakun, Dr. Zhai Qiu, Prof. Zhang Wei and Dr. Ouyang Feng, the delegate group from our college, inclding Zhang Jiahao, Yan Sihan, Zhang Shujian, Zhou Nan, Pan Tianjiao and Sun Jie, jointly completed the work Application of BIM Technology in Interactive Teaching of Harbour and Waterway Major and won the “BIM Education Application Award” in this competition, realizing the breakthrough of zero international award in BIM competition. 

Building SMART, the organizer of the competition, is the most authoritative international BIM standards organization. It aims to promote information exchange and cooperation among all participants in the whole life of construction projects. BIM technology IFC standard compiled by building SMART can be directly incorporated into ISO international standard system. In order to encourage outstanding BIM projects and BIM organizations to continue to innovate and develop in the industry, building SMART has held four consecutive BIM Grand Prix since 2015, which has become an annual exchange feast for domestic and foreign BIM academia and business circles.
