The 7th Chinese-German Joint Symposium on Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering was held in Hannover, Germany, September 6-14, 2014. As the team leader of 43 participants from 4 universities and 3 institutes, Professor Jinhai Zheng gave his speech on the opening ceremony. Professor Qiuhua Liang was invited to give keynote speech named “MULTI SOURCE FLOOD HAZARDS IN COASTAL CITIES: MODELLING AND RISK ASSESSMENT”. Professor Jisheng Zhang and associate professor Chi Zhang hosted subsections. Totally, 17 teachers and students from College of Harbor, Coastal and Offshore Engineering attended the symposium, including Professors Weibin Feng, Yuliang Zhu, Xuejun Feng, associate professors Wei Zhang, Aifeng Tao, Dr. Ting Huang, Liupeng Jiang and Yan Zhang and Ms. Qing Su.
